Our garden and peaches

We picked some veggies from our garden today. We picked a nice big zucchini, 2 little tomatoes, and a few green beans. We ate the zucchini for dinner...it was delicious!! I'm a huge fan of zucchini from the garden.

Kevin picked 50 lbs of peaches from the farm on Saturday with the boys while Kathleen and I went to DC for some touring. We visited the Capitol, the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian. We did this all with Abigail. She was a trooper. We tried to take pictures, but needed the batteries charged in the camera so we got none!! Maybe next time! We're trying to convince Kathleen to come back and visit with some or all of her family! We'll see!

Enjoy the pics of the random things that have happened in the last few days!

symphony

on saturday night, we went to the baltimore symphony. my other friend kristan handley came to visit for the weekend before her missionary conference in pennsylvania. so, handley, kathleen, and i went to the symphony for a ladies night out. it was a fun night for me to get out and the concert was great. there were 2 soloists that were both 15 years old. they were amazing. both kathleen and handley enjoyed it also even though i kept asking them both lots of questions...they are both musically talented. maybe, i'll try to have kathleen blog about the concert and she can give more details.

ok...almost done nursing..here are some more pics of abigail...sorry,no pics of symphony

a little smile

ok..so, i'm writing this while i nurse...so no capital letters. abigail joy just started smiling on monday night. our friend from ohio is here helping us out. it has been a huge blessing for us...we are so grateful. abigail smiled at kathleen on monday and has been smiling during her awake time since then. it is so fun...she has a beautiful smile. kathleen captured a pic of it...we'll try to get some more again.

Slip 'n slide, trains, and baseball

What says more about the summer than those fun things!!! Since Kevin was home for 2 weeks helping out with the boys...they had some fun adventures. Kevin got them a little slip n slide at Walmart...which the boys figured out in a few days and have had great fun with. Especially since it has been in the 100's here. Craziness...hotter than Florida. He also took the boys to Baltimore to see the train museum. They enjoyed that also and Kevin enjoyed getting out of the house. Lastly, we went to a Bowie Baysox baseball game. We made it 5 innings before the boys lost interest, all the food was eaten and Abigail was ready to eat again. Even though we are mostly homebound right now...we have been able to have a few adventures and fun! The boys have also gone swimming at our neighbors a few times and love to swim with Miss Beth. Here are some pics and videos...enjoy!
