Swimming...will it be the last time?

I realize I have posted quite a bit about swimming....sorry, I grew up a swimmer and enjoy it so I guess I enjoy taking pics and writing about it. I remembered my camera today so I have some cute pictures of the kids swimming. I also thought I'd take some pictures of my neighbors pool so you had an idea of where we get to swim. It is a very nice setup. I have thought many times that I would love to have our own pool...we would swim so much. But, then its awesome being able to use my neighbors pool without having to care of a pool. Especially cause they allow us to the use the pool whenever we like and they don't have to be home for us to use the pool....I know we are so incredibly blessed. I'm very thankful for our neighbors.

So, the one video is of Caleb feeding Abigail a bottle...its never too early to teach your kid to multitask, right? Haha...he loves to feed her a bottle and so I always give him some time to do that then I usually finish her up...so she can burp and so that I can get a decent amount in her tummy. Sometimes, the milk tends to get more on her then in her when he feeds her...but, for the most part he does a wonderful job. My big boy helper for sure.

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to swim since it was supposed to be a high of 88...Kevin said it got to 90. My neighbor actually didn't turn on the heater so the water was a little chilly, but it felt good since it was so warm and sunny out. We packed our lunch and had a good time.

Fall cleaning day

When Kevin puts the boys to bed, he has a special time of talking with them before they go to sleep to see what they did for the day. So, last night Kevin asked Caleb what they should do for daddy day aka Saturday. Caleb said they should watch Wii, then mow the lawn, vacuum, clean the kitchen, do the dishes...Caleb was right in that we needed a good day of cleaning today...no Wii was actually played or as Caleb likes to say watched. Maybe tonight after naps, we'll see. But we did get some things done which was nice. The boys mowed the lawn, then worked on cleaning Kevin's car while I cleaned up the kitchen, mopped, and shredded papers!! After they were done with Kevin's car, they wanted to use the hose more so Kevin let them clean their tricycles and bicycles. They were having a grand time with that. So, I thought you'd enjoy the Beeker Car/Tricycle/Bicycle Wash...any time you are in town, just come on over...we've got 2 boys ready to work : )

Ode to swimming

The middle of September and we went swimming. My neighbor put her heater on last night so we could swim today...sigh of relief. I am going to soak up as much pool time as I can before the fall really comes. Yesterday, we played outside and I thought wow, its pretty warm out here. It would be fun to go swimming. However, I just didn't have the mental energy to get everything together to go swimming yesterday. Its a bit of work to get us all to the pool and my neighbor is not even far from us. But, I'm sure you can imagine. I checked the forecast for today and the high was supposed to be 85. So that sounded good to me.

It was a glorious time of swimming today. The sun was out with some clouds...the water was warm like a bath....okay so for summer time you want the water cooler, but not when the wind is a bit breezy out in September. We swam and swam and played and played for 2 hours. Oh, how the 3rd child is such a sweetie to hang in there for 2 hours while we had fun. As soon as we got her home, she passed out in her crib. Then we all took a shower/bath and took naps. Caleb likes showers and TJ likes baths...so many times we do a shower/bath. I just love the way you feel after being in the chlorine and the sun...its so invigorating and energizing for me.

This will most likely be our last time in the pool...so, I must say a fond farewell until next year. My neighbor does keep her pool open until October, but we'll have to see how cool the temp gets in the next few weeks. We have started Bible study and MOPS this last week so our schedule is a bit full. So, this will probably be the last time. Sigh of sadness : ) I know I'm just being a tad bit dramatic...but, isn't that a great quality of a girl : )

PS...just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my best friend's mom (better known as Mom Cravens)...her birthday is tomorrow! Have a good one! : )

Life with little ones

TJ is my funny little guy and like I said before he keeps us entertained quite often. He has quite the zeal for life. The other day I was doing dishes and the boys were playing in the playroom...TJ said momma look. He had swim goggles on and his cowboy hat on. So, I took some pics. Of course, then Caleb wanted to do the same thing.

A friend from my Bible study last year was so kind and gave us a little coupon for free babysitting one night as a present for Abigail's birth. So, last night we took them up on the coupon. She and her husband (or is it her and her husband. I always get that confused....my poor English teacher of a mom tried so hard) came over last night to watch the kids while we went on a date. It was so wonderful. We went on a boat ride in Annapolis and then out to dinner and some ice cream. It was a beautiful night for walking around downtown Annapolis. We really love Annapolis. It is a very cute little city and has a quaint downtown on the water. We happened to be blessed today after church to see them again. We need to go grocery shopping and so Kevin said we had nothing to eat at home for lunch...(which means nothing he felt like eating)...anyways, so he wanted to go out to eat for lunch. We ended up going to Potbelly and our friends were there also with their adult sons. It was so nice to have lunch with them and pretty cute cause the boys were excited to see them since they had just saw them last night. TJ went right over to the husband and wanted to be held. And after lunch TJ went back and sat right in his lap. My friend gave Abigail some love and fed her the rest of the bottle while I ate...it was such a nice surprise. God is so great in giving us these friends.

3 months old

Abigail will be 3 months old on Friday. Can't believe it! She is such a sweet baby girl! I'm in love with her. She went to church nursery for the first time this past Sunday. I had planned on taking her when she was 4 months old, but then the boys SS class needed some teachers so Kevin and I are teaching twice a month for their class. The boys are in the same class for the first service and then are separated for the second service. So, Abigail had to go to nursery a little earlier then I had planned, but she seemed to enjoy it. Saturday night, I explained to her that she would go to nursery without momma (so I had a few separation anxieties...isn't it supposed to get easier with every child...apparently not)...well, when I dropped her off she was happy as a lark with the ladies in nursery. And when I picked her up she was just as happy...she seemed to have a great time and did great for them. That made me happy! So, she's officially my nursery girl!

Abigail has been chatting it up here lately...she loves talking to her brother, momma, and daddy and her little toy animals. She is quite the social girl. She is also my smiley girl too. Caleb is so sweet with her...he loves to talk with her. TJ loves her also...he loves to give her kisses and hugs and give her toys to hold onto.

Still swimming

You'd think we were in Florida still swimming in September, but nope we are in Maryland. It was a high of 90 degrees today and our neighbor has a pool which means the pool is still open even after Labor Day...yay for this mommy who does not want summer to end!!! My sister in law bought us a suit for Abigail and so I put it on her today...I didn't actually put her in the pool, but she did sport her suit and I took pictures. She's pretty cute in it. And she didn't mind wearing it either! My neighbor also accidentally left the heater on in her pool so the pool was nice and warm like a bath...that was especially nice for the boys as they don't like the water too cold for swimming. We played at the pool for about 2 1/2 hours...it was awesome to soak up the sun and swim for awhile. TJ did quite well swimming without his lifejacket...yes, my kiddos have to wear some kind of swimming flotation device which I said I would never do with my children...its just wrong in the world of swimming. But when you have 3 under the age of 4 you do what you have to so that you can go swimming. : ) We swam extra long today cause Abigail wasn't fussing much and because I don't know how many more days we'll have to swim outside so it was especially sweet. Enjoy the pics!!

Ready for some Football

We watched some football this past Saturday and are ready for some NFL football. I can't really say we are die hard fans for anyone team. I mean Kevin usually tries to cheer for the Redskins, but you have to really be a die hard fan to cheer for them most years. : ) And I tend to cheer for the Eagles or Dolphins....I guess more now I like to cheer for the Colts. But, I think we just enjoy watching football. Last year, we would watch some football after naps on a Sunday evening for a little bit with the boys. Pretty much just about 20 or 30 minutes and during that time the boys would line up in the living room like on the line of scrimmage and pretend they were playing. TJ particularly loves football...he enjoys running the ball, tackling, and getting fumbles. Its pretty cute. Caleb enjoys it also, but right now he is into basketball. Here are a few pics of the kiddos....the red thing on TJ's face is part of his firefighter helmet and he took it off the helmet and put it on his head. He loves to wear hats of any sort or things on his head...he keeps us entertained pretty much all day long! : )
