Adenoid Surgery
I just wanted to post that Caleb will be having adenoid surgery on Tuesday, Dec. 1st. He got sick very often last year, but all the docs told us that he was young and would get sick often. So, we didn't pursue it much. However, Caleb kept getting sick throughout the summer and the bad sickness started coming again at the end of August. He would get a really bad cough and couldn't sleep well at night. So, we finally decided to write down how often he got sick and it ended up being every 2 weeks. We thought it might be allergies and so we saw an allergist. It wasn't allergies and so he referred us to an ear, nose, and throat specialist. This doctor said Caleb had large adenoids...he said it was pretty common in little children, but that it can cause some children to get sick quite often. Caleb got put on an antibiotic to try and heal his sickness, but then he got sick again and the doctor said his adenoids were infected and should come out. So, here we are getting his adenoids out on Tuesday. I'd ask you all to pray that it goes well. It is a low risk surgery and an outpatient one. But, I'm still a little nervous...they will have to put him to sleep for the surgery. Thanks for your prayers! We pray you all had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was wonderful!

I'm sorry that Caleb has to have surgery, but hopefully this will be a blessing in disguise and he won't get sick so often anymore. I know that Jesus will be right there with Caleb (and you and Kevin) during the surgery and that everything will be just fine! I love you friend and will pray for all of you on Tuesday! We can pray for you at Women's Bible Study too, since that is on Tuesday morning. Keep me updated. :)
