We had TJ's birthday party on Saturday. He turns 3 on February 29th or we'll say the 28th this year. We had the party at Kevin's parents' house in Virginia. I am very thankful that they are willing to have the party at their house...its way nice not to have to clean my house for everyone. Kevin's sister and her family came to celebrate...so, Drew and Aaron were with us for the fun. And our wonderful Aunt Kristen was there too! Unfortunately, Mike and Anne couldn't make it this year, they were on a youth retreat with the church. Maybe next time!! We missed them!
So, we had lunch...make your own pizzas and a yummy fruit salad. Then, we had some fun football games. We did a "football" hunt...aka...I put candy in our Easter eggs and hid them in the front yard. The boys had fun with that. Then, we had a football pinata and the boys did a football toss! We borrowed the football theme from Aunt Liz who had done a similar party for Aaron the week before...so, we were also able to borrow leftover unused plates and cups and napkins!! Thanks Liz!! And that also meant that Aaron was able to wear his Tech football outfit 2 weeks in a row!! Good participation cousin Aaron!
After the games, we had ice cream cake which I made. It was quite yummy I have to admit. A great recipe from my friend. And then we had presents!! It was a fun party and I think TJ felt very special! Enjoy the pics!
