Spring break in Florida

We had a very nice trip to Florida for my Mom and Dad's spring break. We arrived on Tuesday, the 8th and left on Thursday, the 17th. My dad had his break the first week and my mom had hers the second week. So that worked out very well. We had one little problem with the airplane on the way to Florida. We had to have identification for Abigail to be a lap baby to show that she is under 2. Yay...its a rule so you have to just follow the rule even if the baby is clearly not over 2 years old. And yes, we have traveled many times with TJ as a lap baby without id. So, we were shocked when we got there and thankfully, our insurance gives everyone a card with their name and birthdate on it. Otherwise, who knows when we would have made it on the airplane.

We did also have a little problem coming home as well on the airplane. We boarded our airplane and the bathroom had to be fixed. So, an hour later the bathroom was fixed. The plane started to move and as soon as we left the gate an engine starter had died so we moved back to the gate. Thankfully, they deplaned us and we got on another airplane and made it home. It was a little crazy, but our airline did pretty well I think.

So, other than flying, we had a lovely time in Florida! The weather was perfect and we had a grand time swimming and going to the beach and playing outside. We didn't take a lot of pictures, but we have a few! My mom, Kevin, and the boys went to Butterfly World and they had a fun time. Abigail and I stayed home and relaxed. I don't like Butterfly World so I always opt for staying home. I just don't like birds and such flying around me! So, I'm kind of a grump while we are there...just better for me to stay home! Kevin loves it there which is why we go every year. The boys had a fun time...this year they really enjoyed it and were able to last longer than the other years so that's good! They are definitely growing on me!

Sounds like a fun adventure...in hind sight. Hehe. :) Glad you got to spend some time with your family, even if the airlines were a fiasco. :)
