A week home with Kevin

Kevin needed to take time off because he had days to use up before the end of September.  So, he was off all week.  We were very glad to have him home!  We went hiking at Mount Charleston on Monday.  Kevin carried Abigail in a hiking backpack that we borrowed from our neighbor and the rest of us hiked.  The boys did quite well and we had a nice hike.  It was about a 35 minute drive to the bottom of the mountain.  Then, we hiked straight up for about 45 minutes, then had lunch, and hiked down the mountain.  We didn't make it all the way up to the top of the mountain...I'm not quite sure how far we went, but we had a great hike.  I got to carry the backpack full of our lunch and heavy water bottles.  It was beautiful up there and a whole lot cooler than where we live.  About 20 degrees cooler..we'll have to remember that for next summer as well!

We did school for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and the boys were very glad to have Kevin do school with them! Then, Friday we took the kids to one of the childcare places that the Air Force provides for people who just move.  So, Kevin and I got a few things done at the house and had a lunch date.  After that, I got a massage for an early birthday present from my in laws.  Ahhh....that was awesome! I'm pretty sure we will be in withdrawal on Monday when Kevin goes back to work..especially the kids! They love their daddy! Abigail and TJ had some fun times playing firefighter this week as well. So, I put a few pics and video of them being firefighters. TJ has found a new person to help him fight fires and the two of them are pretty cute playing together.  Abigail loves her brothers and loves to be a part of the gang! She doesn't like to be left behind! We also started potty training Abigail this week. She is doing pretty well.  She's had a few accidents, but is doing well so far.

The boys joined a soccer class last week...that is on Saturday mornings and they get to do the class together...which is great!  They look forward to it each week!
