TJ turned 5 in February. He was very excited for his birthday and it was hard to wait till the end of the month to celebrate. Of course, he had 2 days of celebrating so not too shabby. We celebrated on his birthday and then had a birthday party for him on Saturday a few days after his real day which I guess technically only counts every 4 years. His smart brother has figured this out and likes to tease TJ that he is only 1 years old. We haven't let that teasing last long.
TJ had 2 friends over for his birthday. One friend from church and one from Awanas. He chose a Peter Pan birthday party and he enjoyed every minute of it. Kevin planned the whole thing and I was thankful for that. Kevin had the boys doing a pin the "X" on the treasure and a treasure hunt which led them to the Peter Pan Cake treasure. The boys also played outside in our backyard.
TJ got a Peter Pan outfit from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Tommy and their kids and he loves it. He got it just in time for his birthday party on Saturday and he was able to wear it. He also wore it to Awanas the other night for Green day for St. Paddys. He was too cute!!
TJ is getting big and growing...we just noticed his pants are too short and we needed to tighten them. He just keeps growing taller and that makes him skinnier...he is our tall green bean for sure just like his Great Poppy.
TJ is taking swim lessons and is on a spring soccer team. He loves being on a soccer team. He played on a team with Caleb this winter and couldn't wait for the games on Saturday. So, we signed both boys up again. They also have an amazing swim lessons teacher and so I am glad we can do swim lessons at the YMCA close to our house.
