Our East Coast Tour

We had a wonderful time visiting our family and friends on the East Coast.  We flew into BWI and stayed with Kevin's parents for 2 nights then traveled to Kevin's sister Liz and her family.  The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins Drew and Aaron.  Unfortunately, Kevin got sick and was in bed at his sister's for the whole visit.  But the kids and I had fun playing and talking and going to the pool. 

We then headed to my brother Tommy's house where we stayed with them and also visited my brother Mark and his family.  Again, we had such a great time visiting with our cousins.  We packed a lot of family activities into 4 days at my brothers.  The boys went to VBS a few nights, we went to a bounce house, had a pig picking at my brothers and hung out.  My parents and aunt and uncle were able to join us there as well.

I have to admit we were super exhausted on our ride back to Kevin's parents. We barely made it there.  The kids were quite whiny on the ride home and I was extremely tired as well.  Abigail pretty much fussed a lot cause she really wanted to sleep, but could not get comfortable.  So, it was nice to spend the rest of the week at Kevin's parents where it was a little more calm and we could rest up a bit.  We played lots of games and played with Grandma Beeker's fun toys and read books.  The weather also cooled a little bit off for us and we were able to take walks and play outside.  We also went to visit our friends in Maryland.  We saw our good friends, Jenn, Brian, Ethan and Audrey.  And saw our friends the Vanderwalls.  We also saw our friend Brandi and her family! It was such a blessing to spend time with them.  We also got to see my cousin Mike and his wife Anne and their new baby Peter.  We couldn't wait to meet baby Peter.  He is sooo cute! That was fun!

On Sunday, we went to our old church EP and saw many more friends.  It was good for our soul to be back at our old church.  It really encouraged us.  We miss the East Coast a great deal and all of our family and friends.  So, I am sooo thankful we were able to visit for 3 weeks and be blessed by them!!  Thank you Lord for providing safe travel and finances for us to take this trip!! It did my heart well!
