Our trip to the Grand Canyon

We found out we are moving to Florida this summer and so we decided to do a few things out west before we move. The Grand Canyon was on the list.  Kevin took some time off from work and we went last week. We only stayed 2 nights, but had a great time. Two nights seemed long enough with the baby.  We stayed in a hotel and did not camp. I am not that adventurous with a baby. Sorry, other moms are, but not me! It was still rough nights even in a hotel.  But that was because Nathaniel was sick. We have been sick for the last month. Well, not Kevin and I, but the kids. They had bad colds and coughs and it took awhile for them to kick it. The boys are almost done with antibiotics now and Abigail is better also. Nathaniel is also better now as well and has not woken us up in the middle of the night for the last 3 nights. Yay!

I was very nervous about going to the Grand Canyon. I had a fear that I would lose a child off the side.  I particularly was worried about my curious TJ.  Thankfully, we all made it home safely and truly enjoyed the trip. TJ did not want to leave. He loves being outside and loves adventures.  Nathaniel was a super trooper. He was just happy there were other people on our hikes to see and be social with. He took 2 little naps on the hikes and then a long one when we got back to the hotel. And Abigail walked most of the time.  Of course, she slept super awesome that night after all that walking! The Grand Canyon is truly a beautiful creation from God. We so enjoyed God's goodness and beauty. Caleb was our main picture taker.  He LOVED having the job and felt very big. TJ took a few pics as well.  So, we will see how they turned out!

Enjoy!

What a great trip!! The Grand Canyon is on my list of places to visit before I get beyond travel ability.
I love all the pictures and am glad it was a fun vacation despite some of the setbacks. :)
