On Friday, we took both boys to the doctors. Thankfully, neither one of them is sick...but, Caleb went to the dentist for the first time and TJ had to get blood drawn for anemia and lead levels and he needed his 1 year shots.
Well, Caleb did great at the dentist...we prepared him to see the tooth doctor (thanks, Adrienne for that name) and told him to say AHH. So, we practiced opening big and wide and that really helped. He seems to have good teeth so far. Yay!
While Kevin took Caleb to the dentist. I took TJ to get blood drawn and the shots. TJ was such a champ about getting blood taken. He didn't make a peep at all and they did it just like they do us adults...not just a little prick. The blood flow had slowed down and they were trying to get more so I watched a little bit. Not a good idea at all for me...I'm a huge wimp when it comes to giving blood. So, all of a sudden I started getting whoozy and the techs were like "Mam, are you okay. Do you need anything?" I said...I think I'll be allright. Yeah, my one year old boy is getting blood taken out of HIM AND I am the one almost passing out. : ) If you know me, you'd believe it. I've been known to pass out.
Anyways, thankfully no one passed out and TJ was also a champ at getting his 4 shots the same day! As a reward for both boys, we went to the playground for a little bit before going home.
