Strawberry picking, summer playing, and a sick mama

Well, some of my friends from my MOPS group went strawberry picking last Friday...I didn't think I would have the energy for it with the boys, but my one friend convinced me. It was soo much fun! I LOVE strawberries and it was hard for me to stop picking. The boys each had their own bucket and I had a big bucket to fill. We just finished eating them today. Oh...yummy! The only thing better would have been if I could have made some jam. Unfortunately, I just don't have that much energy in me and Kevin gently told me that probably wasn't the best idea. So, maybe next year!!

The high today was 87 and it definitely felt like that...so, I decided we needed to start our summer routine of outside playing....which means we go outside right after breakfast before it gets too hot. So, we went to the playground and thankfully, the playground is more shaded in the early morning. Then, after lunch the boys played in their water table and sprinkler ball and had popsicles. Tomorrow is supposed to be another hot one...so, we'll probably do the same
thing.

Lastly, the boys were sick last week and unfortunately, I got the little sick bug they had around 3 am on Sunday evening. It thankfully wasn't too bad...just a little fever and a cold. So, Kevin stayed home from work on Monday and Tuesday and I slept, drank lots of fluid, and slept some more. I'm so glad he was able to stay home and take care of the boys. And of course, the boys were more than happy to have extra daddy days! They love Saturdays...which is known better as daddy day!!! I'm feeling much better today...a little tired still, but much better!
