Not too hot

We have been blessed with some nicer weather this week. It has been so fun to play outside almost all day. Ahh....I love summer. Kevin and I were discussing our favorite seasons last night. He said Fall was his favorite season...the leaves changing, the cooler weather in the morning, but still sunny and a little warm during the day, apple picking and apple cider, pumpkin pie, Thanksgiving, wearing a sweatshirt. Mine is the summer...I love swimming at the pool, lazy days just hanging out at the pool, getting sweaty from playing outside, going to different playgrounds, wearing flip flops, not having to bundle up, playing outside after dinner. So, I get a little sad when the weather starts cooling down cause that means my summer is ending.

I do have to say that this summer was a bit too hot for me...I'm not quite into the 100 degree summers...I mean I grew up in S. Florida, but we never got 100 degrees, we always had the ocean breeze to help out.

So, the weather has been nicer, I mean like 85 degrees, so still pretty warm, but not too bad. The boys have started to play a fun new game outside which I like to call HockeyGolfBaseball. The boys get their baseball bats and hit them back and forth on the ground like a hockey game or golf game. I usually stand at the end of our driveway to retrieve balls from the street. It has been great entertainment for them! We also got out our basketball hoop that is supposed to go on the swing set and I held it for them while they shot baskets. They are becoming quite the little athletes : )

I love the heat, but not this heat. 110 degrees with 100% humidity is insane for me! I'm with Kevin...I get so happy just thinking about putting on a long sleeve t-shirt, making soups and chili and cornbread and hot tea and...I'm getting so excited just thinking about it1!
