Kevin got promoted on Tuesday this week. He is now a Lt. Col. He said it feels weird to be a Lt. Col because he always thought they were the old guys in the military. Now, he is one of the old guys : ) We had his ceremony near his work and had a luncheon afterwards. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was nice. We ordered a cake from a place down the street and it was pretty tasty! I quite enjoyed the chocolate ganache filling! (Unfortunately, the letters on the cake got a little messed up in the travels...all of a sudden traffic stopped...that's okay, it tasted yummy) Kevin's dad is the one who did the oath with Kevin since he is a retired Lt. Col. So that was pretty cool. I think his dad has done most of his promotions. My mom was in town for it also so she helped Caleb pin on the new rank to Kevin's uniform for one shoulder and I helped TJ pin on the other side. The boys enjoyed the ceremony and hanging out with Daddy at work!
