We went on a little family vacation last weekend. My dad has a friend who has a house in Wildwood, New Jersey and so we used his house for a long weekend. My brother and his family were there also. They stayed the rest of the week. We weren't sure how well the boys would do at the Jersey Beach seeing as the water is quite chilly so we just stayed for the long weekend. My sister came with us for the weekend also. My dad and grandfather were there. They stayed at my dad's cousin's beach house. So we got to see their family as well. It was a really nice time to spend with my extended family. We left Abigail at Kevin's parents for the weekend. I know the poor girl never gets to go on the fun adventures. Kevin's parents were ecstatic to have her stay with them and she really has a fun time with them. It probably doesn't hurt that she gets some good undivided attention! We were then able to stay up late and do a bit more without her.
The boys loved the beach. The water was not too chilly for them. Caleb would have jumped the waves all day long if we would have let him. Gotta take a break every now and then. They also had a fun time with their cousins. They were sad when it was time to go home and say goodbye to their cousins.
We did have to rest up a bit from our trip this past week. We had VBS the week before we went to Jersey, so we were all tired from that busyness.
