B-L-O-G

So, since last February we have been working on teaching Caleb to read. He started getting really interested in reading then so we decided it was time to teach him. Well, he has really excelled at it. We used a book called 100 Easy lessons to teach your child to read and we are on lesson 80....we took a little break this summer, but he has been reading easy readers from the library. Anyways, so sometimes when I need to say something to Kevin...I spell it...B-A-T-H. Most parents do...then their kids start to learn to spell and that no longer works. Well, Caleb is starting to get to that point. Not with a lot of words, but with a few. The other day he said, mama, TJ is on the computer looking at your B-L-O-G...yes, he spelled out blog. And it took me a second till I realized he had just spelled out blog. First, it was funny that he could spell it...and second I realized that our kids definitely are growing up in a different era than I did.

I feel like this is kind of a random post...so, I'm going to give one more random thing. I'm doing a triathlon next weekend with my sister in Virginia. It is a sprint triathlon. My sister is doing the Olympic one. Anyways, so, I've been trying my best to train for it and pray that it goes well. I'm a little nervous about the biking part...not much of a biker. But, I think it will go okay. I'll have to let you know.
