Cast off and New glasses

Yes...TJ got his cast off this morning!!! Yay! We are all very glad for that! Kevin took him to the appt and said he did well getting his cast off as they used some weird sounding saw thing. They put an ace bandage on him and he was allowed to take it off later in the morning. However, it did not come off until Kevin got home from work. I tried, but he just kept crying every time I tried. So, I wimped out and decided to just let Kevin do it. He has a lot of dead skin cells that itch him a lot. I put lotion on him quite a bit today and he got a shower this evening. They took the pins out and he has 2 little holes that now have bandaids on. He can have a bath and submerge his arm on Saturday night. That might be an extra long bath for our little man! We did go outside and play and he was able to ride his bike for a small walk. He's a little shaky on it, but he enjoyed the freedom. Now, we just have to get him to start using his arm more and teach his muscles how to move again. I'm hoping that won't be too big of a deal. We'll see. He didn't want to move it much today, but it was also the first day.

Caleb had to get new glasses last week. Before Thanksgiving, we were all raking leaves and Kevin was mowing the leaves. Caleb took his sweatshirt off and took his glasses off and then never put them back on. Therefore, they either got raked up or mowed and we couldn't find them anywhere. Thankfully, they weren't very expensive at Walmart so we went back to Walmart and bought 2 new pairs and got them last week. They look very similar to the other ones.

Yay for TJ!!!! I'm sure he's glad to be able to use his arm again, even if it's not strong yet.
Oops...I have heard of kids doing things like that with glasses, it's good they weren't too expensive. :)

Congratulations to TJ! Hopefully building up strength in his arm won't take too long.
Sorry about the glasses, but at least, they are on the cheaper side.
