January and February

Kevin and I went to Georgia at the end of January for a getaway. Kevin had some work things to do at Moody AFB and their was a wives dinner the same weekend so I went along. I was soooo excited for a weekend away. My mom stayed at our house and watched the kids. I brought movies and books and workout clothes. I was happy to have a weekend of relaxing.  Well, we drove on Wednesday to Georgia and arrived around dinner time, ate dinner then headed to the hotel on base.  I slept in till 9:45am on Thursday and ate breakfast, then my mom called and said that they were playing outside and Caleb hurt his knee. He couldn't bend his knee. So, we told her to give it time to see if it would get better. It did not and she had to take him to the ER in the afternoon.  Thankfully, we have a great church and a wonderful babysitter.  They helped watch the other kids while my mom was at the hospital.  Caleb had to be taken on an ambulance to Tampa cause they needed a pediatric doctor for his knee. So, we met them at Tampa on Thursday night and spent most of the night at the hospital. Caleb was released around 3:30 pm on Friday. And we all headed home Friday afternoon. Hopefully, we can plan for another weekend away.  :  )  Caleb dislocated his knee and got it fixed at hospital. He did this about a year ago in Las Vegas as well. So, he was on crutches to get an MRI and now he is off crutches and just has a brace. He is recovering quickly and has been doing PT to help strengthen his knee.

I would say that January and February were the months for visitors. Of course, I don't blame people for visiting Florida in the winter. The weather is quite nice here in the winter. Snow birds are pretty smart people...winter in Florida, summer up north....brilliant!!  My aunt and uncle were in Florida so they came and visited for an afternoon and evening!! My kids had a blast with them.  They snuggled and read books...we played games.  It was a very nice visit!

Then, our friend from Ohio, Christina came to visit us for 2 weeks!!! Yay!! We had lot of fun with her. I will do another post for that.

And my best friend from growing up came to visit a week after that!  We finally only live a few hours from each other so hopefully we will see more of her! It was a huge blessing to have her visit for the weekend. The kids enjoyed spending time with her and were sad for her to go!

We just celebrated TJ's 7th birthday. We went to Disney with my parents. We then invited one family over for pizza and cake on Sunday.  He has had a very fun birthday!!  We got him a slackline which fits between 2 trees.  The kids are having fun playing with that.

Abigail started horse lessons. She loves horses and animals so we thought we would give it a try.  Her teacher is sooo awesome and good with young ones! We enjoy going to the horse stables while she has her lesson.
The boys are playing baseball this spring instead of soccer.  Unfortunately, Caleb has not played in a game yet because of his foot. Hopefully, in a few weeks. TJ is having a blast and doing a great job!
Nathaniel is growing way way too fast. He thinks he is 5 and wants to do what all the big kids are doing. He is a good climber...he is also great at talking.  You can understand a lot of what he says. He shocks me...my other kids didn't speak so early. Again...he thinks he has to catch up now!!
